Meal Times
-
Regular mealtimes: 8:00 am breakfasts, 12:00 pm lunches, and 6:00 pm dinners.
-
A bell will ring 5 minutes before each meal to remind all guests to get ready for some great food.
-
A second bell will signal that the dining room is open.
-
Changes in meals times must be arranged in advance and may not be possible if other groups are using the facility.
-
Meals are served family style. We strongly urge everyone to be on time for meals. We want everyone to be served hot food at each meal, so being on time is very important.
-
Each group is assigned an area of tables labeled with the group name.
Alternative Diets
-
We offer limited alternative diets including vegetarian, vegan, non-celiac gluten-free, dairy-free or a combination of any of these.
-
Our Gluten-free items are prepared in a common kitchen. While we take steps to minimize the likelihood of gluten exposure, we cannot guarantee that any menu item is completely gluten-free. Customers with celiac or extreme gluten sensitivities should exercise judgment in deciding whether to consume these items or bring their own food.
-
Alternative diet cards will be personalized and given to the group leader to distribute to individuals requesting a special diet. These cards are to be presented to servers in the dining room in order to receive a substitute meal.
-
Remind your alternative diet guests that if they do not use the card they have been given, the food requested is thrown away and food waste is increased. We are working hard to reduce food waste at Seabeck and we appreciate your help in accomplishing this.
-
Last-minute alternative diet requests may be subject to a one-meal waiting period.
-
Special group dietary needs, such as all vegetarian meals and box lunches, are available with advance notice.
-
Guests with other dietary needs are encouraged to bring supplemental foods. There is a refrigerator and microwave in the dining room for guest use.
Beverage Service
-
Coffee and tea services are available in meeting areas at $1.00 per person, per service.
-
The Inn Lobby has coffee and tea available at all hours while guests are on the grounds.
-
There is a soda and snack machine located on the Inn porch by the Pavilion. Proceeds from this machine are donated to the Seabeck Food Pantry. Encourage your group to use this instead of crossing the bridge for snacks.
-
There is a chest freezer on the Inn porch, near the Pavilion. It is stocked with bags of ice, complimentary for our guests.
Food Safety
-
Food safety is our top priority so that our guests do not get sick.
-
Taking food to your room after meals is not allowed.
-
All food, dishes, glasses and silverware must remain in the dining room. This policy is for the safety of our guests.
-
For health and safety reasons, guests and groups are strongly discouraged from bringing outside food to Seabeck.
-
If you do bring snacks, please keep them in closed containers when not using them. Seabeck is in the woods and there are lots of critters out there that would love to have you share with them.
Snack Service
-
Snacks and hors d’oeuvres can be ordered from Seabeck with advance notice at an additional charge.
