Scenic Beach State Park, near Seabeck, is a camping park with 1,500 feet of saltwater beachfront on Hood Canal. The park is known for its wild, native rhododendrons and stunning, clear-day views of Hood Canal and the Olympic Mountains. The park is ideal for those who appreciate outstanding natural venues for outdoor activities. The park features beautiful views of Hood Canal and the Olympic Mountains, flowers of wild rhododendrons in spring, and a rocky beach where oysters may be harvested in season.
Directions: Cross the bridge leaving the conference center and turn left.Turn right on Miami Beach Road. Drive six miles, and turn right on Scenic Beach Rd. Drive one mile to park.

This natural area provides you with great views of the Olympic Mountains, a beach to explore and great bird watching. There are trails to follow through the woods, or visit the stump house. Watch the salmon swim up Boyce Creek. Picnic on the deck of the old beach house. Volunteers are needed to maintain the trails, improve the riparian habitat, and participate in other improvement projects.Directions: Cross the bridge leaving the conference center and turn left. Turn right on Miami Beach Road, At the "Y" veer left onto Stavis Bay Road. Drive 4.5 miles to the entrance and parking lot.

206.284.6310The Forest Theatre, set in a natural amphitheater located near Bremerton Washington, is believed to be one of the oldest outdoor theaters in the United States. William C. Darling designed the theater in 1926, spending many hours in this natural amphitheater determining how best to use the space so that sunlight streaming through the branches of the trees would form natural spotlights, and the beauty of nature would remain as undisturbed as possible. The theater roof is the sky, the walls are the forest, the wings are cedar bark covered with living moss, and the foundation is the earth.
Directions: Cross the bridge leaving the conference center and turn left. Turn left on Holly Road, then right on Seabeck Highway. Look for the sign and it will be on your right.
Tawnoh State Park

Tawnoh State Park is a 182- acre marine, camping park with 3,167 feet of saltwater shoreline on Hood Canal. The name of the park derives from the Native American Twana tribes, better known as the Skokomish, who made their home in the area. The park is situated on one of the warmest saltwater beaches in the state. This is because Hood Canal is one of the warmest saltwater bodies in Puget Sound. Wading, swimming and oyster and crab harvesting are immensely popular.Directions: Cross the bridge leaving the conference center and go right on Seabeck Highway. Take a left on Newberry Hill Road to Hwy 3. Go south to Belfair, then west on Hwy 106. Drive eight miles to the park.

Directions: Cross the bridge leaving the conference center and go right on Seabeck Highway. Take a left on Newberry Hill Road to Hwy 3 South toward Belfair. Just past the town of Belfair veer right to take the exit onto Highway 106 West towards Twanoh State Park. Alderbrook Resort & Spa is located 13 miles ahead on the right hand side.
